How Outlook Voice Access (OVA) works in Exchange Server 2007

DATE: 02 Dec 2008

Welcome to part three of our video series on how to configure Unified Messaging (UM) in Exchange Server 2007. In this segment, Microsoft MVP Brien Posey explains how to set up Outlook Voice Access (OVA) for Unified Messaging. One of two methods can be used to gain access to Outlook Voice Access and its capabilities. Your UM dial plan can hold a specific number that can be used to dial into OVA, or your SIP gateway can be configured to automatically direct non-existent extensions to OVA.

In the final part of our series, Brien offers a hands-on demonstration of the entire OVA configuration process, including how to set up your name and greeting and how to gain access to both your phone's voicemail and your Exchange Server 2007 mailbox.
