How to set up an Exchange Server 2007 Unified Messaging mailbox policy DATE: 04 Nov 2008 Welcome to part two of our video series on how to configure Unified Messaging (UM) in Exchange Server 2007. In this video segment, Microsoft MVP Brien Posey demonstrates how to set up an Exchange Server 2007 Unified Messaging mailbox policy. A default UM mailbox policy is generated automatically when a Unified Messaging dial plan is created. Even so, you'll still want to customize mailbox policy settings such as greeting duration, missed call notifications, message text, PIN security policies and dialing restrictions.
This video will also familiarize you with the UM Auto Attendant tab. This feature lets you personalize numeric voice prompts and voice messages. Even though the Auto Attendant feature is not required for Unified Messaging, you must use it to create phone directory menus in your organization.
