Minimize Outlook 2002 to the System Tray

With a little registry addition, you can cause Microsoft Outlook 2002 to drop to the System Tray when you click the minimize button. Double clicking the resulting icon in the system tray maximizes Outlook 2002 again. Just follow these steps:

Open the registry and get to the following key:

  • HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftOffice10.0
    OutlookPreferences
Now add the following as a REG_DWORD Value:
  • MinToTray
And finally, make the Data Value '1' for 'MinToTray'.
