Programmer Glen Scales has created an interesting VB script for Exchange Server. When executed, either manually or on a schedule, it compiles a single digest-style message out of every e-mail in an Exchange folder received after a specified date.
The resulting "digest" of the Exchange folder's messages will contain links back to the original e-mails, so you can break them out on their own if desired (for instance, if you want to examine certain e-mail headers).
The script requires some modification based on your needs. You'll have to supply the server name, the exact URL for the mailbox to compile (which is the same URL used to access the mailbox via Outlook Web Access). You'll also have to set the date interval if you want to choose anything other than everything in the last 24 hours (the script default).
None of the customizations in question are difficult to implement if you're familiar with VB scripting and Exchange Server (and if you're going to use this script, you should be!).
The script runs using ExOLEDB, a system-level database provider that Microsoft created as a way to poll the Exchange store through a database query. Because of this, the script has to be run on the server where Exchange Server is housed; it can't be run on a Microsoft Outlook client connected to Exchange Server.
