Remotely manage Exchange Server 2007 from a 32-bit client

Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 must be run as a 64-bit application in a production environment. Logic would dictate that it therefore requires 64-bit management tools as well. But did you know that it is possible to remotely manage Exchange Server 2007 from a 32-bit client? That's right. You can download 32-bit Exchange 2007 management tools from the Microsoft Web site.

No product validation is required either. The 32-bit Exchange Server 2007 administration tools are only supported on Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 SP1, and Windows XP though. Vista is not explicitly supported at this point.

Keep in mind the download itself is fairly large -- 686 MB -- since it includes not only the Exchange Management Console, but the Exchange Management Shell (which uses Windows PowerShell), full online documentation for Exchange 2007 (i.e.
