The product works in tandem with NetWorker to provide automated data protection, backup scheduling, tape cloning and advanced media handled, including library and dynamic drive sharing.

The module also supports Exchange 2003 recovery storage groups and Microsoft Cluster Services. Backups of virtual servers are indexed by the virtual server name for easy management. Additionally, when used in conjunction with EMC Legato NetWorker PowerSnap modules, the NetWorker Exchange module can integrate snapshot protection of Exchange servers with traditional backups.
