Recent Office 365 outages brought negative attention to Microsoft’s cloud-based collaboration and productivity suite, but experts say it holds promise.
We were curious what SearchExchange.com readers thought about Office 365, so we published a four-question survey on the topic. You answered the call.
Of over 100 survey respondents, sixty percent of IT pros who use or plan to use Office 365 prefer a hybrid setup to a wholly hosted setup. Reliability and security were the most commonly cited reservations about Office 365 deployments. As expected, the most prominent reason for planned Office 365 migrations was cost savings.
In this podcast, SearchExchange.com site editor Matt Gervais and Exchange expert Tony Redmond chat about the survey results and discuss their own impressions of the collaboration suite. Redmond also offers insight into the types of businesses Office 365 is most appropriate for, why hybrid scenarios are common and what sort of Office 365 improvements users can expect.
