The newest version of LiteSpeed for Microsoft SQL Server supports Yukon and reportedly offers a variety of features new to the backup and recovery market, including object level recovery, multiple compression levels and a zero reconfiguration option.
Imceda, Inc., Burlington, MA, yesterday announced LiteSpeed 3.2, which provides database administrators with support for enterprise back-up tools as well as 100% support for third-party applications. LiteSpeed 3.2 offers advanced performance tuning, dynamic deployment and support for multiple encryption standards.
While native back up can take up a lot of space, LiteSpeed 3.2 compresses backup files up to 95%, providing performance gains and lower storage costs, according to Imceda.
Imceda has added Object Level Recovery to LiteSpeed 3.2, which can decrease restore times from hours to minutes.
The company has also added the capability for administrators to add their own libraries, assuring that only appropriate users gain access to the database.
