Exchange BPA updated

Staff Report

Microsoft last week released an upgraded version of its free tool for IT administrators who want to check the health of their Exchange messaging servers.

The Exchange Server Best Practices Analyzer Tool version 2.1 adds a handful of improvements over version 2.0, such as some improvements to the way the tool collects information from Host Bus Adaptors and additional types of health checks the tool can run. The software also offers new rules, support for wildcard collection from the registry and an improved screen layout.

IT administrators using the software get a report listing recommendations they can make to their Exchange environment to get better performance, Microsoft said.
