Asempra Technologies' Business Continuity Server, version 2.5, protects against data loss and downtime by delivering continuous availability to Windows applications and data.
Business Continuity Server, version 2.5, is all-inclusive continuous availability software that gives companies real-time data protection and disaster recovery following failure. It reduces the cost of mid-market IT continuous availability by combining the needs of data protection, disaster recovery, business continuity, e-discovery, recovery management and compliance and governance into one solution. Asempra Technologies Inc. uses Virtual On-Demand Recovery technology in BCS that allows access to data within seconds or minutes after failure.
The Business Continuity Server (BCS), version 2.5, includes:
Near-zero data loss
Instantaneous application availability
Usable data on the first recovery
Regulatory compliance by protecting historical data
One solution for several backup and recovery needs
Real-time continuous data protection, application failover, snapshot, disk-based backup, replication and seamless tape backup integration in one solution
There are a number of product upgrades in version 2.5, such as support for Windows applications running in a VMware infrastructure, integration with tape, Microsoft clustering protection and enhanced scalability and performance. Using on-the-fly defragmentation, the server reportedly boosts storage usage and connected storage performance.
Microsoft has given Asempra's Business Continuity Server the "Certified for Windows" designation, and it also received IBM's System Storage Proven certification.
