QUESTION POSED ON: 08 December 2003 Is there any way to give a secondary IP address to my Exchange server? My plan is this: if one network goes down, the mail must automatically go through the second network. Are there any alternatives for minimizing downtime to the Exchange Server?

Yes, you can do this. However, you might find yourself better positioned if you put the redundancy efforts into the network itself. If the network goes down and Exchange has a second route, it may not be able to communicate with other systems (e.g., domain controllers, etc.) or client systems.
