Synchronized Exchange mobile device showing deleted appointment

>
QUESTION:
I recently bought a new mobile device and synchronized it with my Exchange Server. For some reason, an appointment that I had deleted months ago is still appearing. Normally, I would use the Resolve Items option, but that is not appearing in ActiveSync. The same appointment doesn't appear in Microsoft Outlook. Do you have any idea as to what my issue might be?

ANSWERED May 2009:
If the appointment only appears on the device itself, I'd try updating the device software to the most current version available. A hard reset on the device is also an option. This will reset the device back to factory-new as far as installed software and configuration.
