QUESTION POSED ON: 24 March 2009
At my company, we recently migrated users from one Exchange 2003 server to another. When some of the migrated users perform a search in the Deleted Items folder, items from the date of the move are the first to show up. Do you know why this is happening?

If your users are looking for deleted items that they expected to be retained until the Deleted Items Retention period expires, they should understand that this information is not moved with a mailbox. Items deleted before the migration are gone.

If it's just an issue with the search order, you should be able to sort on one of the columns to get your results in the correct order.
