QUESTION POSED ON: 11 March 2009
I have to set up a network for a company that has around 100 employees. Due to a small budget, I can only buy one Windows 2003 server, which would act as the domain controller (DC), Active Directory (AD) and file server. Is it possible to install Exchange Server 2003 on the same hardware? If so, what are the things I need to keep in mind before installation?

It is possible to do this, but I highly recommended against it. If possible, you should put the domain controller on any other hardware you can and keep Exchange on its own server. The following article explains in greater detail why the Exchange server should not also be a domain controller.
