QUESTION POSED ON: 20 August 2008
Our Microsoft Exchange unified messaging (UM) system creates a folder for each user to store voice messages. Voice messages are saved to the UM folder by a server rule. Unfortunately, some users are deleting the UM folder by mistake. Is there a way to lock down the unified messaging folder so that it can't be deleted or moved?

>
Where are these folders created? Are they located in an Exchange Server mailbox, a public folder, or the file system on the Unified Messaging server? You seem to be using an antiquated approach.
