QUESTION POSED ON: 06 June 2008
I set up a forward on Exchange Server per the article "Forwarding email from Exchange Server to an external email address." However, this only works for internal email and does not forward external email -- even though I have Exchange set up to allow external forwards as well. Any idea what could be causing this?

EXPERT RESPONSE
Forwarding both internal and external email should not be a problem. Verify that you have selected "Allow Automatic Forward" from within the Advanced tab of the Internet Message Formats node of the Exchange Management Console. Also, verify that the account to which you are sending messages does not have any delivery restrictions on it; you can locate that setting on the Exchange General tab of the given user's account in Active Directory Users and Computers (ADUC).
