QUESTION POSED ON: 27 September 2007
Some of my Outlook Web Access (OWA) users can't open attachments while in the Web browser, but can save them on their system. These attachments are not in level 1 or level 2 file restrictions. Is there any way to allow these attachments, which are usually PDF files, to be opened?

First, you should verify that the users having this problem are running the latest version of Acrobat Reader, assuming that is the software in which you want to view the PDF files. Reinstalling the software, even if it is the latest version, may restore any configuration settings needed to view the file in the browser.

Additionally, you can manually check the PDF reader's preferences to verify its integration with the Web browser. In Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.0, go to Edit -> Preferences, and then select the Internet node from the left pane.
