QUESTION POSED ON: 07 June 2007
I had a user move the Exchange Server shared calendar on Windows Small Business Server (SBS) 2003 from the public folder to her personal mailbox. How can I put it back and how can I deny permissions to this user going forward?

>
Log on as the user and locate the folder within her Microsoft Outlook mailbox. Right-click it, drag it to the location within public folders where it belongs, and select the "move" option. That should put it back where it belongs.

If you find that the user is denied access from doing this, then you can first put the folder into a .PST file and then move it back to Exchange public folders when logged on with an administrative account.

To prevent the user from doing this again, log on as a user with administrative rights on the public folder, right-click it within Microsoft Outlook and select the "Permissions" tab. Add the particular user and grant her the desired rights.
