QUESTION POSED ON: 27 May 2005
What has your experience been like with antivirus and antispam applications for Exchange 2003? Can you recommend a good product?

>
I've had good and bad experiences with various antivirus solutions. I've always felt that Trend Micro and Sybari were two of the best antivirus products for Exchange (of which I feel validated to some degree by the recent purchase Microsoft made of Sybari).

You are pretty much safe with any vendors that utilize the latest VSAPI version 2.5 for Exchange 2003. I recommend you take a look at the variety of cool gateway appliances that are coming out. Don't be afraid to go with a multi-vendor solution; for example, Sybari or Trend Micro for Information Store scanning and something like Iron Mail for the gateway.
