QUESTION POSED ON: 05 January 2005
I am running Exchange 5.5 and Outlook 2003 clients are using cached Exchange mode. I have what appears to be an offline address book appearing as a second recipients address list in the address book. This "second" list is corrupted and contains bad addresses. I successfully removed this bad list from one workstation by unchecking cached Exchange mode, thereby deleting the .OST file. I then re-enabled cached mode. This has not worked on subsequent workstations. How do I purge the errant recipients list?

Go to Tools -> Address Books -> Tools -> Options. Remove the corrupted offline address book and test. You may also remove the user's profile from Outlook and recreate it. This should remove the offline address book.
