Tools to bulk modify Active Directory users in Exchange Server 2003

I want to update alternate recipients for a couple thousand Active Directory (AD) users in Exchange Server 2003. How can I do this in bulk? I've already created contacts for this purpose. I have also tried using ADModify.NET but could not do it for multiple users. Do you know of any tools that will bulk modify Active Directory users?

You can use the LDIFDE/CSVDE utilities to bulk modify Active Directory objects. Alternatively, you can script the process.

MEMBER FEEDBACK TO THIS ASK THE EXPERT Q&A:

Concerning the bulk update of Active Directory users, and in particular their properties in Exchange, I suggest using ADmodify. A GUI for LDAP modifications, ADmodify is recognized by Microsoft as a tool to send LDAP queries to Active Directory in Windows 2000 and above. I have used it many times, even in a disaster recovery project. For the record, this tool needs .NET Framework 2.0 to work.
