Thoughts on the co-existence of Exchange 2000 and 2003

What can you say about co-existence Exchange 2000 and Exchange 2003? I want to add Server 2003 with Exchange 2003 to an existent environment based on AD 2000. However, I am afraid of unexpected modifications in the existent AD schema.

Exchange 2000 and Exchange 2003 can co-exist just fine in the same Active Directory. When you introduce Exchange 2003, your AD schema will be extended, but these will only be expected modifications. After you are running Exchange 2003, you can upgrade the OS on your Exchange server to Windows 2003 if desired.
