The parameters of Exchange 2003 Standard Edition's 16 GB size limit

When it says that the database limit for Exchange 2003 Standard Edition is 16 GB, does that mean just the size of the .EDB file or the combination of the .EDB and .STM file?

The limit essentially means that the combination of priv1.edb plus priv1.stm cannot exceed 16 GB … and the same for pub1.edb plus pub1.stm.

On that note, you should keep in mind that it is now publicly being reported that Exchange 2003 SP2 will increase the 16 GB limit to 75 GB.
