Q

Problems viewing attachments in OWA

A user cannot view attachments in Outlook Web Access when reading e-mail. SearchExchange.com expert Patricia Guerrero explains how to troubleshoot this issue.

I have a user that cannot view an attachment when an e-mail is open. But, if the e-mail is forwarded, then the attachment can be seen. This only happens in Outlook Web Access. If the user opens the mail in the Microsoft Outlook client, it all works well and the attachment is visible.
Try saving the attachment to the hard disk and then open the file from there. Check out the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article regarding blocking attachments: Outlook Web Access -- configure attachment blocking.
