I recently upgraded our NT Server (also a PDC) in our QA lab to a 2000 Server PDC in preparation for Exchange 2000. Once this was completed, I installed a new instance Exchange 2000 on the 2000 Server. When I open the Exchange Administrator, the only Exchange server available is an old 5.5 which resides on another computer in that same domain. So what could be preventing the Administrator on the 2000 Server from seeing it's own 2000 Exchange?
To manage Exchange 2000, you need to use System Manager. You cannot use the Exchange Administrator application to manage an Exchange 2000 server. You should find a shortcut to System Manager in your Microsoft Exchange program group.
