Linking two Exchange 2003 servers in different forests

I have two Exchange 2003 servers in different forests. One is used for voicemail storage and the other is our enterprise email server. How can I set up a forest trust and then access the voicemail messages from both servers?

I've never understood why anyone would use the resource forest model for Exchange, but yes, you'll need to establish a forest trust between the forests and then associate user accounts. The following documentation on deploying Exchange in a multiple forest environment and justifying the multiple forest environment should provide a good starting point.

When you eventually upgrade to Exchange Server 2007, I suggest merging into a single forest and single Exchange organization.
