is concerning all the mailboxes on my existing Exchange 5.5 server. I have a new Exchange 2000 server in the new domain. What would be the best way to migrate those mailboxes, with the plan to abandon the old NT4 domain afterward? Thank you for you guidance. Unfortunately, there's not enough information to give you specific advice. For example, I can't tell if your domains have any trust relationship between them and if the Exchange 2000 Server was introduced into the Exchange 5.5.
However, I can direct you to the proper resources and materials that explain in detail how to move from NT4/Exchange 5.5 to Windows 2000/Exchange 2000 in a variety of situations and scenarios. Have a look at Exchange Server 5.5 interoperability and migration for a list of other 5.5 to 2000 migration information.
