Do I need Exchange post office and mail client on Win2k server?

Do I still need the Exchange post office and mail client on the Windows 2000 server? If I do, how do I get Exchange running on Windows 2000 server, as I have no post office or mail icon in Control Panel on my Windows 2000 server?

You do not need the Mail icon in Control Panel in order to install or use Exchange. There are step-by-step instructions for installing Exchange 2000 in the documentation on the Exchange CD and at Microsoft's Exchange Web site. You can also find them in my book, Exchange 2000 Server: The Complete Reference (ISBN 0072127392).
