Create an Outlook public folder to book calendar resources

We just migrated from Exchange 2000 to Exchange Server 2003. Now when I try to create a public folder in Exchange System Manager (ESM), by default it creates a Mail Items folder. I would like to have calendars in my public folders so users can book conference rooms for certain days and times. How do I do this?

You'll want to create the public folders from within Microsoft Outlook and then create a new folder that contains "appointment items."
