Common mistakes when upgrading to Exchange 2003

We have a Windows 2000 Active Directory domain with Exchange 2000, and we are in the process of migrating to Exchange 2003. On that same domain, there is Windows 2003 server on which we plan to install Exchange 2003. What procedures should we follow?
