Changing mailbox notification text
May I change the text that advises that an Exchange mailbox is over its limit? I need to change this feature because I don't use Personal Folders in my company, for example.
This was not possible in all versions of Exchange up to
Exchange 2003. It is now possible in Exchange 2003 using post-SP3
rollup and in Exchange 2003 SP1. In both cases, you'll need to use Jason
Nelson's
sample code and accompanying instructions as discussed
on the Microsoft Exchange Product
Group's blog.
Essentially, the solution involves blocking Exchange from sending default
quota notifications, enabling message delivery for custom messages to
mailboxes that are over-quota, exposing quota limits through a change to
the store interface and installing a new service to check mailbox
quotas and generate a customizable message.
