Can I install Exchange Client (5.0 or 5.5) on Windows 2000 without having MS Outlook installed. If yes, will it work correctly?
Yes, you can install the client and it will work fine. It doesn't need Outlook to run properly. In some cases the Exchange 5.x client may actually be a preferred MAPI client due its lightweight nature and minimal impact on the system.
