Q

Administering Exchange 2000 from Windows 2000 Professional

How can I administer an Exchange 2000 server from a Windows 2000 Professional PC? I would like to be able to control the user accounts and e-mail boxes from my workstation.
If you install ADMINPAK.MSI from a Windows 2000 Server (or a Windows 2000 Server CD) on your Windows 2000 Professional system then you will have access to Active Directory Users and Computers, which you can use to control user accounts. If you install Exchange System Manager on your system, you'll have the ability to manage Exchange, as well. However, you might just find it easier to use Terminal Services on your Exchange 2000 server and manage it remotely.
